It’s the first day of spring! I don’t know about you but I am more than ready for warmer temps. I’ve been having fun making seasonal home decor items this year and keeping it simple. I have become a big fan of the dollar tree and I have always been a fan of Target’s dollarspot so I am always happy when I find fun inexpensive things to add to my home.
I created a simple spring centerpiece with these twine wrapped eggs along with items I picked up from the dollar tree or had at home already. To create this simple spring centerpiece you will need: a wooden wreath (or some sort of container), chalk eggs (or hard boiled eggs), twine wrapped carrots, DIY twine wrapped eggs and crinkle paper (or some sort of filler for the bottom).
Today I’m sharing an inexpensive and easy DIY jute twine wrapped eggs. I love the neutral look of jute twine and feel it can be used for so many crafts! This DIY can be time consuming depending on how many eggs you plan to wrap but budget wise you can’t beat it! The plastic easter eggs I already had from last year and the ball of jute twine was $1 from the dollar tree. For this DIY you’ll have plenty of twine leftover for another project..

What You’ll Need:
Plastic Easter Eggs
Ball of twine
Glue
Scissors.
What To Do:
Step 1:
Open the plastic Egg and thread the twine through the hold. Tie a knot to secure it then snap the egg back together. If there is no hole you can simply sandwich the twine when snapping it shut.
Step 2:
Dab a bit of glue and start wrapping the twine around itself on the bottom of the egg. As you continuing going around you’ll work your way up the egg. Remember to dab go slow and less is more. If there is too much glue it won’t dry and ahere to the egg. If you are using a hot glue gun try not to get it stuck on your fingers!
Step 3:
Cut off and add extra glue to hold down the end. Repeat for however many eggs you would like to make!
