Since spring is here that means more outdoor fun! Today I’m sharing a quick and easy activity you can do either indoor or outdoors – paper towel art. All you need are 3 things and you will amaze your little ones over and over again!
What You’ll Need:
- Paper Towel(s)
- Permanent Marker
- Washable Marker
- Casserole dish
- Water
What to do
Fold your paper towel in half. On one half using your permanent marker, draw an outline of an image or write a message that you would like to stay permanent.
Open the paper towel and color the inside with your washable markers. Either coloring in the outline or some pattern to decorate.
Fill your casserole dish with some water (about halfway).
Drop the paper towel into the water and watch the colors ‘magically’ appear!
Repeat as desired. You may need to change the water as the ink spreads then fades the longer you leave it in.
See how easy and fun this activity is!

I love this idea and so easy to do at home. Can’t wait to try it with my daughter.
