Stephanie Jesse Tree is a family tradition although there are various ways to incorporate it as you prepare for Christmas. What is a Jesse Tree? A Jesse tree is a decorated tree with ornaments or a representation of a tree with symbols that are used during Advent to tell the story of Jesus’ birth. There are many interpretations and versions for how to set up your Jesse tree but mainly it is created with symbols linking to readings from the Old Testament in relation to Jesus.
I picked up these little wooden ornaments about 3” to use as we had a mini artificial Christmas tree. Then I searched for and chose symbols linking to Old Testament readings. Once I had a list I found the symbols and created the ornaments that I printed onto sticker paper. This made it an easy kid activity and I think they turned out really nice.
