Consider the Lighting
Lighting is one of the most important things when it comes to the outdoor space in a home, particularly if you want to use it once the sun sets. Add in lighting such as spotlights or small solar power lanterns which can be placed in flower beds or alongside paths. If you have paved areas such as Armortec Paving & Patios, it can be a great way to highlight the best way for people to walk, as well as make it a nicer place to be in the dark. Other lights that work well include fairy lights and hanging lights.
Think Beyond The Grass
Whether you have a big garden or a small one, it can be easy to just have a grass area and be done with it, but this isn’t maximizing the potential that’s in front of you. Instead, think of how you can use the space beyond the grass, such as adding decking areas, places where you can have barbecues, or where you can plant fruit, vegetables and beautiful flowers. By getting these things sorted and your bulbs planted now, by the time summer 2025 comes, they will be beautiful blooms that really brighten up the space and make it so much more welcoming.
Decide How The Space Will Be Used
As you head into a new year, are you going to be using your outdoor spaces in a different way? Do you have children? If so, will you want a spot where they can play and run around? Do you want to be hosting people next year and therefore need a designated area for tables and chairs, or where a cooking station can be set up? You might want to add a firepit or a BBQ. The options are endless!
As you can imagine, there are a plethora of changes that can be made to your garden. The above are three ways to get started! What changes are you going to make to get your outdoor space to get ready for the summer of 2025? Which of the above suggestions do you think are the best? Is there anything missing in our guide?
