5 DIY Christmas Ornaments
It’s the season for all things DIY! I’m sharing 5 DIY Christmas ornament ideas for you to try this Christmas season! All you need are some clear plastic ornaments. These clear ornaments are a great basic canvas because you can make so many different kinds of ornaments with them. The extra things you can get are craft paint, sharpie or vinyl, keepsakes, stickers or some fun fillers. There are numerous possibilities depending on what you have at home or what you would like to purchase for this DIY so it can be an inexpensive or rather expensive project based on what you choose! The best part is you can add or change these ornaments year after year too so let’s jump in so you can find out what I have gathered for you today.

What You’ll Need:
Clear Plastic Ornaments
You’ll need to pick up a set of clear plastic ornaments like these ….or however many you think you need. I got my set from Michael’s this year but in the past I’ve gotten them from Walmart, Target, Jo Ann’s and etc.
Craft Paint (Optional)
Cricut and Vinyl (Optional)
Rae Dunn Inspired Ornament
I used some white craft paint and swirled it around to coat the inside of the clear plastic ornament. Then I used my cricut machine to print out MERRY and applied it. You could use different combinations of paint color and vinyl color too!
(I downloaded a free font from dafont.com called ‘the skinny’)
Snowman Fingerprint Ornament
For this ornament, you’ll need white paint and colored sharpies. Cover the palm of your childs hand with white paint and carefully place the ornament in the palm of their hands and fingers around it. Press firmly on their fingers to get their fingerprints around the ornament. Hang to let dry and decorate the snowman with hat, eyes, nose, scarf, and buttons.
Rae Dunn Inspired Jesse Ornaments
I used some white paint and swirled it around to coat the clear plastic ornament. Then I used my cricut machine to print out TREE and applied it. Then I printed out a sheet with the corresponding scripture readings.
PCS Sticker Ornament
This is one you add onto year after year or every few year if you are lucky. After each move save a sticker or a few stickers and stick it to the same ornament. Eventually it’ll be covered from all the moves!
Christmas Color Stuffed Ornament
I just used some scraps of Christmas tinsel and shredded paper to make this festive and easy ornament!
